Services:
We offer individual therapy (for adults, adolescents, and children), family therapy, and behavioral parent training (Dr. Mazursky-Horowitz is a PCIT certified therapist). We also offer consultation services for schools and providers, as well as supervision for therapists seeking more guidance using CBT skills.
Getting Started:
Once you contact us with interest, we will schedule a brief phone consultation so that we can learn more about you and your needs. This is an opportunity for you to ask us questions and for us to discuss the logistics of meeting. The consultation also provides an opportunity for you to get a better sense of who we are and how we work, and for us to determine if your needs align with our specialties and training. If we decide that some other type of therapy is indicated, we can help connect you to another treatment provider in the area. If we agree that we could be a good fit, we will schedule intake sessions (60-90 minutes) to discuss your particular concerns in more detail and make a treatment plan.
Insurance:
We do not accept any insurance plans and are therefore out-of-network providers. Many insurance companies do reimburse for individual psychotherapy and we will provide you with all necessary paperwork.
When speaking with your insurance company, you may want to ask:
Does my plan include out of network coverage for mental health benefits?
What is my deductible? How much do I have remaining?
What percentage of the psychotherapy session fee is reimbursed?
Is there a session limit or maximum allowable amount?
When does the year begin for my plan?
How do I file a claim?
